The Trauma and PTSD Program, in the Anxiety Disorders Clinic at the
Department of Psychiatry and The New York State Psychiatric Institute, is
committed to improving the lives of people affected by trauma and bereavement.

 

Our team of dedicated clinicians, research scientists, and staff uphold our mission by:

  • Conducting clinical studies to improve the effects of new treatments for individuals with posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

  • Fostering state-of-the-art research of the neurobiological mechanisms of PTSD and resilience.

  • Advancing the study of individual and group responses to traumatic events, including disasters, terrorism, and wars.
